Berhlan’s Commitment to Sustainability

Berhlan was founded after the Armenia earthquake by a visionary family from Quindío, who turned adversity into an opportunity for regional development.

The company’s founder, María Amanda Alzate, always prioritized family and community well-being. Three years ago, she passed the role of General Manager to her eldest daughter, Liliana Marcela Berrío Alzate, who had been preparing for the position for 14 years.

“Berhlan holds a special place in my hear. I lead with the belief that we are here to make a positive impact on people and society,” said Marcela Berrío. Under her leadership, Berhlan has expanded its private-label manufacturing for major supermarkets and discount retailers.

Currently, Berhlan has three production plants across Colombia, specializing in personal care, fabric care, home care, and specialized cleaning products. The company continues to strengthen its four commercial brands: Berhlan, Bondi, Super B, and Amatic, ensuring excellent quality, affordability, and innovation.

With approximately 1,300 employees, Berhlan fosters fair working conditions, personal and professional growth, and internal career development. The company seeks to hire and nurture talent that aligns with its long-term vision.
